I want to thank the California Chronic Care Coalition for inviting me to speak at their 2025 Advocacy in Action event!

I spoke about the importance of supporting and advocating for patients and increasing access to healthcare across the board. As the father of a son with cerebral palsy, I have seen firsthand the struggles of navigating a complex medical system.

We need to do all we can to support patients and providers to ensure Californians can be healthy and stay healthy. I promise to be your fighter in Sacramento!

This week, I had the pleasure of meeting with Danny Labin, the new CEO of the Jewish Federation of the Desert and board member David Tsikman in Sacramento.

Together, we discussed our shared commitment to condemning all forms of hate and strengthening partnerships across diverse communities in the Coachella Valley.

I’m grateful for their insights and for the opportunity to build a deeper connection with the Jewish community in our district. I look forward to continued collaboration.

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit Mexicali to learn about @sonoraninstitutemx work in the New River area of the Imperial-Mexicali region. I greatly appreciated the warm welcome!

It was a pleasure to meet with this group who is dedicated to New River restoration efforts. I saw firsthand the progress that has been made and heard the challenges faced by those doing this work on the ground.

I am committed to supporting these efforts in ensuring a safe, healthy region for both sides of the border. New River restoration is vital to the well-being of us all.

Durante el fin de semana, tuve la oportunidad de visitar Mexicali para conocer el trabajo del Instituto Sonorense en la zona del Río Nuevo en la región Imperial-Mexicali. ¡Agradezco enormemente la cálida bienvenida!

Fue un placer reunirme con este grupo dedicado a la restauración del Río Nuevo. Pude observar de primera mano el progreso logrado y escuchar los desafíos que enfrentan quienes realizan este trabajo diariamente.

Me comprometo a apoyar estos esfuerzos para garantizar una región segura y saludable para ambos lados de la frontera. La restauración del Río Nuevo es vital para el bienestar de todos.

•Spoke at the St. John’s community discussion about healthcare. We are fighting to protect Californians from state cuts to vital resources and programs.

•Celebrated National Prayer Week at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. We thank all pastors and law enforcement men & women who made the event so special.

•Joined in the ribbon-cutting for The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission’s Women and Shelter II in the City of Indio. We thank them for their commitment in supporting our community.

•Congratulated El Campanario, named the City of Indio’s Business Spotlight!

•Attended the ribbon-cutting for Indio’s new Wingstop location!

This bill helps ensure military families with special needs children receive timely IEPs when moving to California—so no child falls behind during a school transition. I’ll keep fighting for our military and special needs communities!

We must always remember the 250,000 South Vietnamese and 60,000 American soldiers who died in that terrible conflict.
