Grateful to @asmcoreyjackson for giving me the opp Grateful to @asmcoreyjackson for giving me the opportunity to speak out against Governor Newsom’s proposed cuts to In-Home Supportive Services.

Reducing overtime pay for IHSS workers from 70 to 50 hours is not just a budget issue, it’s a dangerous move that puts lives at risk.

My son has cerebral palsy with spastic quadriplegia. He cannot use his arms or legs, cannot speak, and relies on a feeding tube. I know firsthand how devastating these cuts would be—not just for my family, but for Californians who depend on this care to survive.

I hear the voices of the disability community loud and clear. I will continue to be a voice for them and urge Governor Newsom to preserve these critical services. For many, this isn’t about convenience—it’s about life and death.
